About the Author

Melissa grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Nashville, TN with her husband, son and 3 cats. She has been a professional songwriter for the last 20 years. She has written on records that have sold over 12 million units, 120 million streams and has won BMI, ASCAP and NSAI awards for her work. Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Lady A, Tyler Farr, David Nail, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Holt and Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom are among many others who have recorded her songs.

Bedford’s Adventures Book One: Everyone Has Something To Give is Melissa’s first children’s book. It is the first in a series of books that takes children on adventures with Bedford and his siblings. Each book teaches mindfulness lessons in a fun an entertaining way with bold, colorful illustrations, memorable characters and an engaging, rhyming story.
